Building Truly Human Leaders in a Speedy Unicorn

RAPPI

Rappi is the first unicorn from Colombia. it has had a fantastic growth curve since it was founded and the speed demanded the best from its people. Their team grew exponentially in just a couple of years.

People scaled in their career path very quickly thanks to their knowledge but some of their current managers don’t have previous experience as leaders. They started facing big turnovers and experiencing a breakdown internally.

LEADERSHIP • INNOVATION

THE OPPORTUNITY

To support Tech leaders to grow their leadership capabilities and create a more human-centred culture while keeping up with the market speed.

OUR APPROACH

We were fascinated by the complexity of the challenge and decided to run a discovery phase to better understand the needs, pain points and style that was embraced inside Rappi. We did interviews, shadowing sessions and some observations to get valuable insights.

Once we had that understanding, we activated our creativity and co-designed a complete personalised learning program with the HR team. It involved 15% theory and 85% experiential learning to help Engineering managers grow their knowledge and accountability around Leading self, Leading others and Leading as a team.

We ran the program for the first cohort as our first pilot for 3.5 months.
